There aren't very many engaged couples that come to me requesting to do an awkward 80's themed engagement shoot and by "aren't very many" I mean there's been only one. Trent and Trina. These two are absolute perfection.

The day started out like any other... (cue John Williams music)

As I walked up the stairs from the Oakland BART station, they drove up. I was in absolute awe. Both of their outfits were, dare I say it, on POINT. Trina was decked out in high-waisted mom jeans, a patterned shirt plus mismatching vest along with hair curled to permed perfection. Trent had an outfit of all denim, which accentuated the glorious stache upon his face.

What proceeded after that was what I can only describe as the most enjoyable engagement shoot known to mankind. We jumped on picnic tables, raced through the redwoods with lightsabers, skipped, chewed bubble gum, brought the sass, and laughed a lot. Their dog was also able to get in on the fun.

Yes, this shoot was a bit out of the norm...and I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT.

This Friday I am going to take photos at their wedding and I absolutely can't wait. Don't worry, lightsabers will be involved.

Trent, Trina, you are both majestic. Never change. I want to be you when I grow up.
